iAN&ANi Duo is a Chicago-based cello and piano duo comprised of Russian cellist Ian Maksin and Bulgarian pianist Ani Gogova. In a little over a year since the inception, iAN&ANi have performed over 50 concerts in different parts of the USA and in Europe. Their performances have been broadcast on National Public Radio in the USA, Bulgarian National Radio and well as Russian Radio. They have performed at several international festivals including Apollonia in Sozopol, Bulgaria. Last spring, their multimedia production Tango Obsession was sold out for 8 consecutive nights at Chopin Theatre in Chicago. iAN&ANi's debut album TANGO PLUS came out in October 2012 and features new arrangements for cello and piano of Astor Piazzolla's music, as well as works by Ravel, Ginastera, De Falla, Rodion Shchedrin and a world premiere of a work by award-winning Chicago composer Ilya Levinson commissioned by the duo. |
